The UK's only programming house - a home for excellence in Lighting Programming on the grandMA platform
GrandPA  Alex Passmore
Coming originally from a background in touring theatre and dance, much of Alex’s early career was spent sat in front of Strand boards of various vintages (Gemini, Galaxy and later the 500 series).

Later, after a short while working with Avolites consoles, Alex quickly discovered that the Hog2 was the way forward.  About 4 years ago he was introduced to the GrandMA family whilst on tour with the Chemical Brothers and having watched it grow in popularity quickly decided that it was time to purchase his own.  He is now a complete convert.

Recent programming projects include an interactive multimedia presentation for Perkins Engines, Brit Awards Launch TV show, ‘SHOUT - the swinging 60’s musical’, The Cure, ‘Grand Slam’ celebration concert at Cardiff Millennium stadium and a multi-million pound event for the charity ‘Ark’, with Stevie Wonder as the main attraction.

Upcoming projects include another tour of ‘Shout’, plus a new musical based on the music of Barry Manilow and three new shows on board the Celebrity Millennium Cruise ship, as well as conferences and trade shows too numerous to mention.

Alex is pleased to be one of the earliest members of GrandPA and has already
been contracted on a number of projects including Big Brother 9 and
The Charlotte Church show.
