GrandPA Marcus Kromer
Marcus is based in Germany, and started his professional lighting career in 1995. Having done mainly Musicals and Theatre/Opera on various ETC Consoles across Germany, he joined Lightpower, the company that distributes MA Lighting worldwide, as product manager/tech support in the year 2000
2002 he left Lightpower and went back freelancing again. Over the years he had worked on various Musicals, TV-Shows, Corporate Shows, Theme Parks and Tours programming small to large scale including Media Servers and LEDs as well as Moving Light and Conventionals throughout Europe, the US and Asia.
Marcus is also part of the freelance MA Lighting support team, being present at trade shows such as Pro Light & Sound, PLASA and LDI to demo MA Products, teaching all levels of grandMA classes and supporting large scale shows as Network Administrator, and also being responsible for 3D-Visualization with grandMA 3D on shows such as the Eurovision Song Contest 2006 and 2007.
He is pleased to be the first “international” member of the grandPA’s,
his first grandPA-Project is programming Mbox Media Servers
on the 2008 Madonna “Sticky & Sweet” World Tour.
